But once the haunt room is found, I dunno how the mid to end game would play out with so many players.
I don’t know if I believe that walking around the asylum with three other people while we all split up and go into every single room multiple times for about an hour counts as “challenging”, all with no ghost activity - even when it’s in hunt mode. Seems more boring to me. I’m not sure if the party size is the problem or there just needs to be more ghost mechanics/features.
What does insulting someone's intelligence, or in general, do for you or anyone else for that matter? At least try to keep it civil.
But I agree, even though we have a party of 6-8 friends, we don't mind the 4 player limit and splitting up into groups. We knew what we signed up for when we bought this game, and it's still so much fun regardless.
But no the real answer is there were mods that did this. The servers couldn't handle it. You'd be sacrificing stability for EVERYONE just so you could have your little friend group all together uwu
Did you buy a Castlevania game and go 'My friends and all like this, but it'd be better with co-op! Can you just add a co-op mode?'
The game is made for 4 people. Not 5. Not 6. Not freaking 10, like some people have suggested.
You get 4 Pills. You bring 4 Strong Flashlights. The Ghosts ability to Hunt is a mathematical expression based on FOUR PEOPLE and the amount of things they can bring into the house.
Every person you add is bringing 3 more items, each. Which means less walking back and forth to the van, which means less time spent setting up, which means less sanity drain, which means less changes of a Hunt, which makes more than 4 people EZ mode.
Plus, the game to literally programmed for 4 people. When players were using a mod to up this number, it was making the game unplayable for other people's games.
It's not just changing a number. And it's flat out baffling that some people expect the devs to just throw all their work and game balance and their idea of the game out the window, and even spend time optimizing the game for more people, just to appease them.
Bet you're fun at parties.
