But there is stuttering
I've beaten the game on Switch with no crashes or issues, and I beat it the week after release, so I can at least confirm that those crash issues were non existent for me (if memory serves, you had to do something very specific to trigger that bug, so even if it still exists, it's easily avoidable).
That being said, as much as I love this game, a bit of extra graphics polish wouldn't hurt in some areas. Performance wise it ran perfectly even in handheld.
So I'd say it boils down to what the OP's preference is - portability or a bit of extra graphics/mod support.
Otherwise you could go for the Switch version if you're the type to play games on the go. (tho you do lose that 60+ FPS...)
