Spells improve with usage, or no?
So Rita's Fireball started out just shooting one but now it shoots three. Are other spells improved by using them a lot or leveling up the character?

Does anyone have a list on how spells improve and @ what level/usage they get boosted?

Thank you.

Several spells that shoot projectiles start shooting more, some become bigger (aoe), others last longer and for melee combo attacks many become faster for example or alter knockdown times etc. In general, more usage = skills improve overall.

Alright, cool.

But is there no player's guide-like list that tells us how spells improve and when?

I haven't checked but GameFaqs might have an in-depth arte guide, I know they had them on other Tales games.

The aselle wiki should have every arte, how many uses it takes to improve them and what the improvements are.
I don't think anyone mentioned this but they also have damage tiers depending on usage.

x - 2x damage increase

9999 - 3x Damage increase.

I only remember 9999 is 3x damage unfortunately, I can't find or remember exactly when 2x damage increase starts. I believe 2x is like 2500/5000(?)

Dear god, who would ever grind to 9999 uses though? That is insane.

I'm fairly certain that's not true, most spells do have an improvement with certain uses, like the main fireball adding a fireball at 50, 200, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000, and 3500 uses and I don't remember any spell having a direct x2 and x3 damage boost. Most damage boosts are something like 20%

there are ton of artes that have different effects with high usage. Like you can cancel azure wolf strike before final thrust after 300, cancel dragon spin attack after 1/3/5 hit after 300? you can use some artes in air after 100, you can link phantom wolf in other artes after something. You better consult with something like wiki since there are ALOT.

The Aselia Wiki has a list of all Artes and what each Arte gains when using it. Most Artes reach their threshold at around 400 uses, with Pow Hammer being the most obnoxious at 9999 uses for 100% Stun Chance.

Pretty sure this is true though, I remember back in the PS3 I had Azure Edge doing over 50k.

Solo lowest lvl nigtmare challenge. People just grind arte usage numbers and deal insane dmg just from that.
