Open your mouth, put some food in and chew.
But if you ask about ingame - just hover cursor over water bottle or nutrition package and press lmb (left mouse button).

Also, making a Nutritional Package is combining 1 Nutritious goo (bulbous green blobs) and 1 Ice. Both can found in abundance floating through space or inside harvest nodes. For a Bottle of Water, combine 2 Ice.
Both can be crafted at a Crafting Table, the first encountered is inside you starting area space shuttle.

In the meantime not starving, not dehydrating and not suffocating I can recommend reading the encyclopedia tab in your inventories screen once you pickup/scan new stuff.
