where do i find the scraper

That's not an answer. Where do I see what my quests are? There is nothing in my tabs that shows current quests, there's no key binding that shows current quests, there's nothing on my screen I have managed to find that shows current quests.

The main objective in the start of chapter 1 is to get a distress call out.

When you do that it unlocks the receipe for the scrapper.

The game uses two differnt names for the item, it's part of the joke; the suit AI gives you a complex device, the survivor makes a simple thing to whack stuff.

I don't think it's too much to ask from you to actually check what the game is telling you to do before you post something like that.

I could go watch a fricking YouTube walkthrough video and see what to do next. My point is, I shouldn't have to, and I don't want to.

I don't know what I am supposed to do next. That's all I'm saying. Everything I try to do now says, I need that scrapper.

I can't even figure out how to play the video. I pick it up, it goes into my inventory, I see it there, I can't put it in a tool slot, all can do is drop it. I click on the video take player it tells me to insert video and puts me into a video tape inventory that ... hey! DOES NOT HAVE THE TAPE AS AN OPTION.

If the puzzel of the game is figuring out how the GUI works, then clearly I wasted my money because this is not my game. I want a puzzel game where the fricking controls are established.

I screwed up the antenna, I found the steering <whatever> ... now I have no further direction on what to do other than make a debugging station. Nothing is telling me how, or where, there's nothing to look up (that I can find), there's no part that is highlighted. Nada, Zip!

Look at the friggin' blueprints in the crafting station. Gather the needed materials. Easy as that.

As for the "playing the video"-part - there are different tabs for different video categories. You might want to check them.

The UI - and the game itself - are pretty simple. It's not hard to figure out where stuff is and what you're supposed to do. Sorry, but i can't wrap my head around what type of people would have problems with the game to such an extent. What kind of games have you been playing so far? What exactely are you expecting the game to do at this point? And how are the controls not established? It's mostly left and right mouse buttons - it even tells you on the screen for crying out loud.

I'm positively sure that the mats you need to construct the scrapper don't need the scrapper and can be collected by hand. In fact, i just recently constructed a scrapper by only collecting the stuff needed for construction by hand. I'd suggest you do the same and stop being so melodramatic. I'd also appreciate it if you'd actually answer my questions.

Its fine ... I have uninstalled it. I buzzers going off with no explanation what they were, I died like 5 times, everything I tried to make except the mats for 1 roll of fabric and 1 metal bar (I think that's what it was) just continually told me I needed a scrapper.

Its just not my kind of game ... that doesn't make it a bad game, I just don't have to patience to learn how to play so I can play. That's just silly to me.

No thats wrong. Backscratcher unlocks the grabber blueprint. You must do missions to unlock the scrapper.
