What to do with extra piety?
What do you do with all the piety coming into the kingdom after maxing out Crown Authority?

you need it for some cleric actions still . also you dont even need it to max out authority. (you can max it out withoput paying a single thing if you got during the game like 5 rebellions and simply execute the rebells ) if you conquerd provinces you are certain to get rebellions once or twice in these parts , unless they got loyality to your kingdom already which is kind oif impossible early game to achive and once you pretty much can quickly spread culture, you probably had already a few wars and coquerd stuff so you should have faced a few rebells . might also c ome if you failed to enforce order in a province ) oh yeah im not entirely sure if it was only books but i think it did cost piety as well to integrate them in the kingdom , which is the only other option aside from the marshalls enforce order to take controll of a province; without waiting forEver with a marshall inside the province . BUT YOU NEED PIETY TO CONVERT PROVINCES RELIGIONS and mostly it costs the full 1000 ammount >.> eh i think that depends on your kingdom size but once you got big like 12 provinces or above i think it starts costing 1000 additional to gold
and you need to convert it to your religion except you play pagans which is honestly the worst ♥♥♥♥♥♥ kind of religion you could have. since you get nearly no books and alot of things are unobtainable for you since you cant get the stuff universitys for other religions have >.> . yeah tell me trade is an option but who wants to trade get goods? which you also lose if the trade is gonna be cancelled

sweet, thanks folks. good tip about executing rebellion leaders. hadn't figured that one out yet. anyway, guess I gotta conquer some distant provinces that aren't my religion if I don't want my piety to go to waste.

If you have good gold and faith income you can actually do the opposite - releasing rebel knights to increase peasant opinion. After that you increase Crown authority by usual means. Peasant opinion gives nice bonus to food and population growth and can be tricky to increase by other means.

its quiet easy actually, you nonly need to give feasts once a child is born from your king. it always gives you the otpion to make a feast as well for a mostly bi g sum of gold. but it raises the opinion of peasants by about 3 mostly (and other folks as well , but it kind of differs the ammount and is not always the same i think )
