Operation: Harsh Doorstop

Operation: Harsh Doorstop

My Review of Harsh Doorstop
So I really like what I just played in the demo, I can see time was spent on the shooting mechanics, I love how the guns are all "Lethal" unlike some games I can mention "we all know the offenders" That if you shoot someone in the face with 5.45x39 or 5.56x45 or 7.62x51 the magically can live and shoot you to death with a handgun chambered in 9x19 or .45 acp at ludicrous ranges for that weapon to even be used to hit a target.

well not here, you put lead in em, they die "That is a big plus for me, I don't always enjoy games where enemies are bullet sponges but the game tries to tout realism" Not here at doorstop you shoot and it dies :)!!

The graphics are good and it plays well some of the movement feels a bit stiff, however that doesn't really matter when the shooting is super on par, the weapons function nicely, everything is really well done, now some of the things I did notice that need a look into, so AI in bot matches likes to shoot walls where enemies are on the otherside,If you have friendly fire on be aware bots will shoot through you lol.

I love the realism too where their is no round counter shown, this title has alot going for it with very little to take away from it, I cannot wait till full release, looking forward to fragging and fragging with y'all on the battlefield when this title releases! hell I liked what I played so much I might look into buying a key for 3 bones, not sure yet with release so close but do us all one favor, never ever sell out the player base for profit I feel that goes without saying on the developers end. If this keeps going the route it is, I can foresee doorstop spanking every other F2P title in recent memory and the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your feedback.

Yeah, the AI in their current state are still extremely early and WIP, and all they really know how to do right now is capture flags and shoot at enemies when they see them. Our first objective with them was simply getting them in and functioning on all maps (official and modded), and in a multiplayer environment. They will get better over time as we program/teach them to learn new behaviors. They shouldn't be shooting through walls though, they don't engage unless they have direct line of sight on an enemy. If you have direct examples of this occurring it would be helpful to see a video of it. The bots/AI should be good enough at this phase though for basic things like seeding or just getting into a bit of quick action.
