Sorry mate but these questions about drivers up to date or specs are irrelevant. if my specs are good enough to run Cyberpunk at Ultra/Psycho settings with raytracing on at 60 FPS then my rig is clearly good enough for this game... and my drivers are always up to date cuz games like Hogwarts Legacy kinda require newer drivers to even run properly... I did said that I verified files and also reinstalled the game yet I am stuck on boot at steam "preparing to launch" popup when you startup any steam game its just this game wont boot at all and this popup is in endless loop... I also think that treating gamers same way as your grandma that has no clue about computers is kinda rude... every gamer keeps windows and drivers up to date and knows his rig capabilities unless hes a complete newbie. The question here is that WHY THE GAME IS STUCK ON STEAM BOOT LOOP not why it doesnt run properly or cant connect servers and whatnot...
As I stated on YTB, this game looks like a proper remaster of first 2 battlefield games with all thoses explained features so its kinda bummer that some people cant even launch the game with mid-high end computers like me... And if you really think that people trying to run games on integrated graphics or ancient HW then I have some news for you, people whom use that ancient technology play minecraft and fortnite and are not even interested in games like this cuz they seem too hard for them to play.
Anyways I tried to hard launch the game outside of steam, still no budge there, process wont even appear in task manager cuz steam is halting the launch and gets stuck on "preparing to launch" in infinite loop, restarting PC, steam and whatnot did not helped, adjusting launch parameters did not helped, adjusting preffered graphical processor to high performance mode did not helped (it runs high performance regardless I just wanted to eliminate that option), game doesnt launch neither on my OS SSD neither on my second SSD (my third SSD is the same as OS SSD and its full with games already so I didnt even tried to put the game there)... So clearly the issue aint really the game itself, its more like Steam halting the boot for the game because of some corrupt installation files or something, maybe the game got an update that corrupted the installation download hence steam cant boot the game up, yet reinstall should fix this issue but it did not so them corrupt files might be on steam servers somewhere... That is all I have for now, proper response from developer in normal PC guy terms would be great, not like the previous response about drivers and file verification.
Anyways yea all the periphery checks and actions on our end seem to be fine something with the server connection might be going on because it really doesnt seem to establish the right to launch lets say. the game begins launch then immediately after refreshes the cloud storage and then cancels the launch for an instant to start it back up and keep repeating the process over and over again. i have a nvidia 1660 with ryzen 5 3600 but my pc hasnt presented this issue before. im from eu btw
If you are till having issues with this I made a video for y'all. Hope this helps! https://youtu.be/2biYuKOa8Os
As clearly stated, we are not experiencing crashes but steam cloud boot loop... So unless your video contains how to hack into steam servers and hijack the game from a different server where it aint bugged then I doubt the video gonna help at all. For regular crashes maybe but anything related to that I and the other person here we already tried and now its up to devs to fix the game files on steam servers... As we both also stated, this has never happened before...
But a common factor between the 2 reasonable people having the same issue seems to be a Ryzen 5 CPU.
So maybe it's something related to that CPU or a motherboard issue.
Just a thought.
edit: in case you didnt know, steam cloud has nothing to do with HW.
Well there you go - I wouldn't have even needed to post if this tidbit had been offered up earlier.
I also never said that the devs wouldn't need to look into it, in fact if it had been an issue with an entire set or subset of CPUs not being able to boot the game I would assume the devs would definitely need to look into it.
It's not necessarily a "game issue 110%" as everyone runs the same exact game code, and seemingly only a few are having this particular issue. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say it's a Steam server issue, as Steam gets stupid from time to time.
That said, I've encountered a Steam cloud loop before in another game. To fix it I went into Offline mode on Steam, changed the Steam download server to Los Angeles (my default is Chicago) Then I shutdown Steam and went back online, and it was fixed. Ymmv...
