Error with Waffen SS uniforms
The SS never wore SS collar tabs on their dot 1944 camo uniforms. There is a couple photos of this out of the Estonian SS Legion. That is the only photographic evidence ever supplied of it being done. This is a big part of historical accuracy for the Frundsberg and Hohenstaufen units. I have spent a few years studying the 10th and 9th SS units of this specific theater. I reenact with a unit that does 10th ss. http://www.10thss.com/ There is a fair amount of photographic material in our "original photos" section.

Thanks for taking the time to read.

I guess if you have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ autism, you might come to the conclusion that reenacting is not based on historical evidence.

What does "first european army mean"?
Do you mean an army of many european nations togeather?
If so you should look at the Nine years war and Spanish sucession, The Army under Marlburough had British, Dutch, Danish, Prussian, Hanoverians, Saxons just to name the biggest contribuators, at times the Austiran and Anglo-Dutch army combined, at that point, you can add Austrians, Hungerians, Italians and various eastern European countires.

Or go back further to Siege of Vienna in 1683, with a mass euopean coalition army against the Ottoman.

If if that isn't a real army beeing a "coalition" Look to the French army of 1812, less then half being French, the rest being Polish, Various germans, Italians, Spanish, Irish etc etc.

So you agree then. Marlborough or Napoleon it is.

You could argue that Roman armies managed to encompass troops raised in conquered lands in Europe. A minority were geographically from Italy.

Personally I think Napoleon gives the best example.

Third Reich? Nope.

Stand in a square in Warsaw wearing an SS uniform and find out for yourself.

why is reenacting a period of time that you happen to enjoy/have respect for edgy, exactly?

Ya'll way too judgemental and I'm surprised there's not some butthurt steam forum moderator in here to tell you guys to stop, kek.

Probably because what you do in the privacy of your own home is nobody else's business, but when you go out in public then other people's opinions become relevant.

And in many countries in Europe the Second World War, what happened in it and certain organisations is still full of emotion and bad memories. The SS is not universally enjoyed in many countries. It is of course entirely legal to go and wear the uniform, but don't be surprised if passers-by don't share your enjoyment and respect for the uniform.

To be clear, personally I don't care. Do what you like, but be aware it won't be universally popular.

Why do they wear camo tunics anyway? Camo smocks were more common and look cooler.
