Jarhead not jarheading?

So I'm up to the point where you can get jarhead gear. The one that stops people from pushing back at you. I didn't buy it yet. I can't help but notice that work for the state puts you in that gear, but then it doesn't give you the bonus? Shouldn't it though?

Edit: So I bought the set, wore it, and brought it out on a government job. I get push back.. So either it doesn't work, or it replaces my jarhead gear with another set which doesn't have the bonus.

I noticed that about the levels where you get it anyway. To confirm, I bought the outfit and they're still giving me lip. Bug?

I'm still having this problem, wasted a lot of money on it when it doesn't work so Speedy ends up still being the best set currently.

EDIT: I just saw in the latest patch notes that allegedly this was fixed but I'm definitely still getting pushback from people.

Maybe you mistake pushing back with bribes? I though that my set didn't work either, until realised that people were trying to bribe me, not push back.

Isn't push back the same as bribes? if not then what is push back? because it sounds like bribes.

Bribes are where you get offered money to turn a blind eye and allow entry. Push back is where they disagree with your decision don't leave and demand to hear your response again (just testing you/wasting your time).

ah ok yes I still got push back then when in full uniform. Not to mention when doing jobs that put me in the uniform. Then again this was back in Sep, so I don't know what has changed since then.
