Why I won't buy this game
First of all, kudos to the devs. There is a lot to like about the game, like the art style, the music, the whole premise of the game itself, as utterly ridiculous as it is. The obvious leftist bias is laughable, but I could live with it and enjoy the game anyway for what it is. However, that's the problem.

The game itself is a blatant rip-off of "Papers, Please", but creating original content these days is difficult, especially when you are too busy writing blog posts about the #patriarchy for your Gender Studies class, which you were forced to take along with your programming classes. That's not the point, though.

Many of us actual gamers (so that excludes the vast majority of SJWs) are growing tired of all the political agendas that are being pushed into our beloved hobby, which is supposed to be an escape from all this BS that happens IRL, no matter what side you're on. Granted, this game wouldn't even exist if you took out the political part altogether, but "Papers, Please" managed to do it... and why? Because everything about it is fictional, and it is consistent about it.

Devs, let me ask you a simple question (at least I hope it's simple enough for a leftist to get): If the main party that won the election is called "Albion First", why are there so many references to UKIP?

You cannot pretend that this is an "alternative Britain", and then include and bash a real party like UKIP in almost every aspect. It's killing the immersion, and it's a blatant attempt at shoving the devs' political bias down our throats.

I am sure you will get a lot of glowing reviews from the usual suspects like Eurogamer, RPS, etc. and all the comments (if enabled, that is) will be the complete opposite, but at the end of the day, you won't get my money.

I will wait for it to inevitably show up in a bundle in a few months' time, and if it's a Humble one, I will make sure to exclude you from the list of recipients.

Congratulations, you played yourself.

It's a shame you can't put your politics aside and see it for what it is. A good game. It's fun and that's all that matters to me.

Too many people choose to get offended nowdays over nothing. It's a video game.

The only alternative Britan I know about is Airstripe one, and the UK is getting closer to that horrible reality every day.

Marxism is a hell of a drug.

It's pretty on the nose that leftists make games like Papers please or this and then say "this is what the world is like under those evil right-wingers!" despite the true reality being, this is what life would be like if they had their way, under communism and nazism. The left has always projected, and is always so incapable of being self-aware.

Just like how these smooth-brains tried to do a media campagin to get everyone to watch and read "1984" when trump got elected because they thought it somehow related to him, when in reality, all it did was make people more pro-trump, as "1984" is about communism and the rest of the marxist disease, and sheds a lot of light on the corrupt media and politicans we see today.

Regardless, no matter if brexit happened or not, im pretty sure the UK is done for. The government has gone full police state mode, and muslims are given free reign to destroy and remove anything christian related, allowed to rape and murder as they please. You couldn't pay me to viist the UK, even for a day. Both because its awful there, and because the government would detain me and deport me for being a conservative which they have done multiple times to known conservatives.

I've always said the world would be a much better place if special snowflakes got their precious widdle feefees hurt more often, deliberately and with extreme prejudice if possible.

If hurting special snowflake feefees means we get fun games like this, then I'm all for sponsoring a 'round up the snowflake' brigade and then have em sent to feefee hurting institutions.

All you do is prove how the left is intellectually lazy, in many different ways. But hey, keep it up, those boots don't lick themselves on their own.

yeah, it's really harnessing that top 40 sold games on Steam (when literally nothing else came out in the rest of the week) and 50 reviews on Steam total. they sold like 500-2000 copies in total. I guess that's more than the welfare check the dev was on before though, so atleast it's an improvement for him.

And this is why the developer of this trash is truly pathetic. I actually wouldn't be completely surprised if they had no interest in the leftist ♥♥♥♥♥ they've been supporting on Twitter and the whole thing has just been a marketing ploy.

In truth they have no more artistic integrity than the creators of House Party or VR Kanojo.

I think it's pretty funny that they think the anti-Brexiters get more vocal and open hate than the Brexiters.

That's because most of the anti-Brexiters seem to be sanctimonious pricks.

Good response to such a not-well thought out thread. Gonna enjoy playing the game once i'm back home.
