[Spoilers] Dream Fragments
I've beaten the Sandman and have unlocked the new area which leads to the Glitched Cocoon saying it needs its dream fragment from the Primal Glitch. Walking up to the throne in the new room is empty, was wondering if I have to fight the Glitch again in the main story to obtain the fragment it wants

Phenomenal DLC by the way, the extra challenge and lore is done really well

That's right! You have to Steal it from the final boss. It's always been in the game, as I wanted an obscure bonus item for people to speculate over that would eventually get used in the DLC.

Regarding the final boss of the DLC

Final boss of the DLC was just blow after blow of gameplay and lore surprises. Had to think back to the first game's elemental weaknesses while trying to buff the squad/debuff the mages. I had thought the final boss of this DLC would be another one of the Glitches creations pre-endgame of the story but finding out this takes place years after felt like a sucker punch

I'm not sure if this is another potential glitch or a gameplay mechanic as intended so I'll ask here. I had the Second Chance augment equipped on Emma. and the Gorefang Marauder had erased her having positive statuses before KOing her on the subsequent turn. Not sure if that's working as intended as a gameplay mechanic or a bug, but its not the biggest deal given that Save Point warns about the positive status erasure if it isn't a bug. Also wondering if the Second Chance augment stacks with Kuro's last stand mechanic or Charlie's Ain't Givin Up move

Thank you for sharing all of that with me! I sincerely love hearing about your thoughts and experiences with the game. My favourite little twist is that if you inspect the tablet outside the Shrine of Slumber at the start of the DLC, no one can read it. This is the hint that they're *already* in a dream from the start ;)

And I'm so glad you pointed that out to me! You're absolutely right, it's a bug, but not with the fight - with the Augment itself. Something I changed towards the end of the development meant it doesn't work as intended, so I'll have to get that fixed up. I've actually never tested whether or not it would stack! Maybe :D

On the post game lore I thought it was another dream sequence like when the Warrior and Emma had to fight the Nightmare Parasite, that the Sandman was another Glitch creation sent to slow the party's progress before the endgame. When the final phase hit I was so mind blown and trying to think of how it could be pre-endgame I just started using random Omega moves not thinking to use whatever Omega move would be its weakness at the time. The time jump and revelations makes me wonder if a sequel is possible, given that this DLC would make for a good endpoint but its open ended enough that a sequel could be possible

Regarding the dream fragment is it possible to fight the Glitch prior to fighting the Sandman to retrieve that fragment , or is that available post Sandman fight only when the boss re-fights are allowed?

On a certain boss I've re-fought the Eraser multiple times to get a feel of when its final phase bugs out, and the when it activates the swap mechanic is when it seemed to just idle and basically become a heavy bag to beat on. One rematch had the boss erase the swap mechanic before sacrificing the robot minion then it sits there for a bunch of turns. Another rematch had it erase other menu prompts but acts normally, but when it erases the swap with another menu command it would occasionally sit there but would still attack and erase menu commands

Looking forward to whatever you've got planned next.

Thank you for sharing all of that with me - it's great to get your perspective on the final fight and outcome of the story! I was really hoping that the revelation at the end of the Sandman fight would surprise people, so I'm really glad to hear it! A sequel is definitely possible, and I know what it would include - I just need the time and money to make it haha. But thank you!

As the Dream Fragment it's been in the game since launch day in 2023, so it could've been stolen from the Primal Glitch at any time. But you can't actually fight the DLC Glitch battle until after fighting the Sandman; that's when the bridge leading to the cocoon opens up.

And thank you for sharing that with me! I've managed to fix the fight on my end, but it took a lot of experimenting. Basically, there was a random number involved, which meant sometimes the attacks worked, and other times nothing happened XD So I just missed adding in a failsafe to ensure that action was always taken.

Thank you very much g14classifiedasset! You'll hear about one project this year for sure :D
