Level 40 is indeed the cap, so sorry for the confusion. Originally it was going to be 50, but then I realised that the EXP curve in the game didn't really justify that. So while thinking about the upcoming Free DLC for the postgame, I decided it would be better to make it 40 (since most players finish the game around level 31-35). So you've definitely made it all the way!
I've got some great news about challenge, because the Free DLC adds a 50 room postgame dungeon with seven superbosses that are tuned to use more complex/out-there strategies and prove a greater challenge than anything in the base game. So I think you'll really enjoy them! Some of them are rematches with new mechanics and phases, while others are totally new. The Free DLC should be out in early 2025 :D
The first game is unfortunately trapped on PC at the moment, due to the old engine it was made with. But my hope is to remake it in a newer engine and bring it up to the sequel's standard, so that I can port it to consoles. Please stay tuned on that point =)
Oh that's fantastic to hear! I hope you enjoy it; the final fight in the Glitchite quest has a very unusual mechanic ;) But thank you very much! I really hope you enjoy what I've got planned for the future :D
