You didn't like it? I thought Majesty 2 was pretty good. I feel like it (For the most part) retained the Majesty feel. Some of the new things weren't that great, but I still really enjoyed it, and the expansions for Majesty 2 were pretty cool too.
They have a lot of superficial similarities, but I think they evoke very different feels.
I also didn't like Majesty 2 for the aforementioned reasons.
Third PC game I ever owned, still pick it up from time to time as it's still super unique and full of character. Those feels of resignation when you hear a chorus of "pretty, bright light, urrk" as your cultists decide to take on a dragon nest.
