Hamachi usually requires no port forwarding to game together, but since its linked to Gamespy Arcade, and always has been, it may require a bit of effort if you dont already have Gamespy.

I play Majesty since it came out and I still love it! This game made me love fantasy and changed 3/4 of my lifetime. I hope in a new expansion for Majesty 1 because Majesty 2 sucked hard IMHO.

You didn't like it? I thought Majesty 2 was pretty good. I feel like it (For the most part) retained the Majesty feel. Some of the new things weren't that great, but I still really enjoyed it, and the expansions for Majesty 2 were pretty cool too.

Majesty 2 was alright, but a very different feel of game. Majesty 2 is a RTS with intentionally bad controls: heroes just mill about and patrol your base until you put flags down to direct them, and the heroes themselves have no real personality. Meanwhile, Majesty 1 is much more a sim, with heroes being more pro-active and having different goals and personalities based on class.

They have a lot of superficial similarities, but I think they evoke very different feels.

I don't think an expansion or another game in the vein of Majesty 1 will be happening as long as Paradox holds the IP, as you can see the direction Majesty 2 went.

I also didn't like Majesty 2 for the aforementioned reasons.

They were deffinetly different games built around a common idea, but with warlock 2 bringing back the law of majesty we may see a reboot of the series in a few years

I doubt it. Paradox could have done it with Majesty 2 from the get-go, but chose to go the way they did. They just have a different vision for the game than Cyberlore did.

yeah, a Majesty 2 made the same way would have been nice. It felt like a whole different game that i didn't enjoy as much as i thought i would.

Third PC game I ever owned, still pick it up from time to time as it's still super unique and full of character. Those feels of resignation when you hear a chorus of "pretty, bright light, urrk" as your cultists decide to take on a dragon nest.
