Crash Bandicoot stops moving randomly, makes game unplayable.
I'm having an issue were Crash Bandicoot will randomly stop moving while holding down any directional button for a split second. This happens every couple of seconds consistently. It doesn't matter what button I map the directional movement to, this always happens. I purchased N sane specifically because I used to play it on my switch, however my controller drift since makes it unplayable. I was in the middle of doing the time trials and figured I'd start over on PC. This glitch makes that impossible. Any fixs or am I fd'?

Gamepad?
Really, better to play on GP. There is many issues in OSs, motherboards (USB), PSUs, KB itself.
This game is perfectly play on GP, so better to use it.

PCGW or here in the forums - someone post something to USB devices working in that game on some machines. Some wrapper dll. Im personaly not have any issues. Not with KB not with USB or any else headsets.

I had a similar issue with my controller.
I turned vsync off and had no issues after that.

*edit*
I just did a quick test, and I did have controller issues when I re-enabled vsync, so that does look like the cause in my case.

The issue I was having was with keyboard and mouse. I'll try a controller, tho sadly I was looking forward to wasd controls. And QWEEDDY2 specifically do you mean usb mouses or anything thats a usb interfers?
Ok so just tested out the usb theory. Apparently my external usb drive was interfering with the game. Go figure. Thanks for the comment on USB devices it fixed my problem!

Sorry for triple posting. But been playing for about an hour, no issues, usb drive not plugged in. Suddenly, the issue returned mid level. Of course that level is Stormy Ascent but thats neither here nor there. I do have a wireless mouse so I unplugged that. Doesn't seem to fix the issue this time. Anyone have any ideas why the hell this happens or is the pc port broken?

Try this

or maybe something here
http://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Crash_Bandicoot_N._Sane_Trilogy
(both links suggest dowanload dinput wrapper named dinput8.dll)

And ofc make sure game not forced to higher FPS 60 and forced limited to 60 (or 30 maybe for Time Trial).

its something about usb device frequency, power supply to usb-hub or some else half- and absolutely about hardware. Maybe even some issue (with motherboard\psu voltage).
Since i have some issues with controls in some random games very long ago on differ PCs, i guess its not only hardware issues (for such few second freezing controls). Something else. Or everything at same time incl OS.

Try to disable or even remove some applications come with driver (but not part of the driver) for input devices. If mouse have frequency hz button - try to press it swith to some middle value.
Or if it wireless - unplug it temporary. Play on gamepad or on KB-only (rebind controls to WASDQE as gamepad arrows+left triggers and arrows as PS4 button promts +something near for right triggers).

I play Crash NST PC version on Win7x64 notebook with gamepad and not have any major issues with game itself (only issues with broken Steam, Steam Overlay and Steam Input, maybe especially broken on Win7 unofficially unsuported anymore). Very somple mouse plugged when i play.
Also i use USB PC-specific headset.

So the stuttering is back... Its not in full force, not nearly as frequent, but it happens enough to mess up time trials. Which sucks as I was really getting close to platinum-ing the first game. Is this an issue that only exists for me? Besides the frame rate stuttering issues I find on google and the microphone stutter there doesn't seem to be much documented on this. Whats interesting is now the stutter issue is affecting my jumps, or rather causing mis-inputs (small jumps when I want large, large when I want small, no jumping at all, ect). Any other suggestions QWEEDDY2 or anyone else who can help?
