Having trouble improving my time trial for 'Crash Crush'

I'm trying to get the Platinum Relic for the level 'Crash Crush'. But I haven't been able to get a better time than 1:11.42. I need to get 1:07.87 or lower in order to get the Platinum Relic.

I currently use a keyboard to do time trials, since I don't have a game pad. I mostly use the Crash Dash powerup and Slide Jump to go faster. I heard that hitting the Spin button immediately after the Slide button can make me go even faster.

But my current keyboard settings have made it near impossible for me to hit the Spin button immediately after the Slide button and immediately before the Jump button. Here are the following keys that I use. Note that several keys have been customised to improve my reflexes:

Move Left = Left
Move Right = Right
Move Backward = Down
Move Forward = Up
Jump = Space
Attack = K
Slide/Crouch = L
Crash Dash = J

I got a Platinum Relic for 'Crash Dash' yesterday. And I got a Platinum Relic for 'Un-Bearable' today. But I've been having trouble getting a Platinum Relic for 'Crash Crush', since the hazards are harder to avoid.

I can't understand how GarlandtheGreat managed to get a Platinum Relic since he missed several boxes, and rarely slide jumped. Unless there are certain points in the level where Slide Jumping makes you slower.

Usually when I don't slide jump, my time trials yield poorer results than when I do. Which is why I began slide jumping regularly in addition to the Crash Dash powerup to begin with.

It could be that each time I slide jump, I have to temporarily stop using the Crash Dash powerup, since the Jump, Attack, and Slide/Crouch buttons can't be used when I'm running towards the camera and am currently using the Crash Dash powerup.

Which is weird. Since those buttons work without any trouble when I'm running away from the camera while using the Crash Dash powerup.

As of today my best time is 1:08.41. However that's still 54 milliseconds over the Platinum Relic time. I don't understand it. There must be something that I'm doing wrong. Are there some parts of the level where you shouldn't Slide Jump in addition to Crash Dash?

Alright, never mind. I've managed to do it. 1:07.30.
