Its been 10+ years since I played it but I dont recall having a problem with any of the minigames tbh.
The racing around in a circle mini game wasnt that good, neither was the one just walking around throwing crates at each other
Now things like the pogo stick, tank levels and stuff like that were really fun and loved to complete it to see those dragons at the end
The game even had pretty decent boss fights from what I recall.
Plus itd be nice to have CTR remake on steam/pc getting old playing it on my switch
Well I wouldnt mind a brand new party game but I'd want them to bring back some of the ideas from crash bash as well
Edit: Random thought, Crash Bash X Fall Guys.
Though, I would still like to see CTR:NF on Steam first and whilst I am open to the idea of a Crash Bash remake I do also think they could use their energy elsewhere and bring back something that would appeal to more fans. I like Crash Bash but I think it's fairly niche in comparison to other Crash games on older platforms
The games were .... ok i gues? Some werw decent, others were just annoying - like some version of the pogo-thingy and the tank-levels.
And even if it happened Activision most likely won't port the game on steam .
If CTR does ever come to pc dont let the MTX put you off playing it! Very good remake and can still unlock all the normal stuff like you could in the original (like unlocking n.trophy by completing all the time trials, theres even oxide to beat now as well)
The skins and extra karts are a pretty big grind to unlock especially if you dont plan on playing online mp, this doesnt bother me personally as much as I'm boring and just use old crt characters with their classic kart most of the time anyway
Plus it's just a nice excuse to keep playing the game for me, with how much extra is added on over the original theres always plenty to do (new ring race game mode is fantastic)
The MTX from a moral stand point is absurd though, sure theres those of us in our 30s playing this having nostalgia for Crash but these new games are made with children as the core demographic like it was in the 90s
So it's pretty damn predatory to make skins so grindy and have mtx, adults can resist and have patience but kids arent exactly known for being patient, it's especially messed up how they said theyd be no mtx then 2 weeks later.. add mtx
The grind itself is not a problem though imo, it's just the way they're selling wumpa coins for real money
Even if it was a brand new game not even called crash bash, I think itd be fun to see another crash party game
I think theyll run into the same problem naughty dog did after they finished CTR which was where to take Crash next, it'd be too soon imo to do another platformer or another kart racer, but they havent done a party game yet
I'm not even against grinding for in-game currency in my racing games either, and in fact, I was reminded of one particular PS2 game that got it just right - Jak X, another spinoff racing game in the Jak & Daxter series.
Instead of only getting a tiny amount of currency for winning a race, you also get extra currency (precursor orbs) based on your best hang time, longest powerslides as well as how many times you blow up other racers, with a few being lost for every time you get blown up.
You get around 6,000 orbs average per race, most in-game items cost around 15,000 and races take around 7-10 minutes due to the length of the tracks, so it doesn't even take that long to grind for the stuff you want. Even the more expensive items only take about an hour or so which is fair enough in my eyes.
It also had far better kart customisation than any other kart racer I've played, allowing you to change various body parts as well as any colour you want, with the cosmetics being free and you only have to buy the performance upgrades, with a few special cosmetics being available in the secrets shop.
But that was back when games were purely about having fun, and man, do I really miss that.
Remaster Crash Twinsanity and put that on Steam instead.
