Missing a single box on Sunset Vista

Twice in a row, I've completed Sunset Vista without dying only to find that I missed just one box. I made sure to collect all of them in the two bonus stages, still 89/90. I watched a walkthrough (of the N. Sane Trilogy version - I know the remake added one more box to break on this level) and couldn't see any box I didn't break. All I know is that when you leave the second bonus stage, you're supposed to be at 81 boxes, while I only have 80 at that point. Does anyone have any idea which box I might be missing? Is there one hidden out of view or something like that?

yes, lvl have hiiden boxes. it's definitely your inattention - check YT again.

In somewhere when you collect bonus tokens (or prev. place with Aku mask in air). You answer for your question.

One attempt after posting this thread, I got all the boxes. And I still don't know which one I was missing. The only thing I did differently (as far as I can tell) was pick up the Aku Aku mask near the metal switch box, so I guess maybe there was a box near the first Cortex token I never noticed and I only got it on the last attempt because I had 3 masks.

Just in case any one else reads this, I just had the same thing happened to me. I finally figured it out (at least for me).

There is a “secret” box in the background containing the third NCortex. The jump getting OUT of that background area is tricky, and I died. I spawned at a checkpoint but I still had the Cortex head so I proceeded, BUT the box respawns if you die before getting to the Cortex bonus round!

If it happened to me I’m sure it happened to someone else.
