Steam ripped me off the game!

So... I was offered the game for Christmas and without any notice, Steam decided to take it away from me after 3 hours ... great! If anyone has a solution (I tried contacting CS and I asked my sister to get a refund, but no way...)

So, did you try something (except YT-video)?
Activision did restrictions for all region, wt ROW sub. Australia\Australasia $ Japan +some asia. I think support cant help you - use VPN.

GOG Galaxy - is DRM like Steam. Only offline setup exe is DRM-free (but no online function).

theres no way in hell thatle happen on steam coz if you buy it from a retailer the games always state you need to b online to activate and get the game to work not to mention that wen you buy a game from a real life shop these days it either comes with a disc with 3-4 gig of the game on it or a box with a steam code inside ....
If you have EU sub (check activision support page for that game and steamdb.info) - use proxy/vpn to hide your real IP. For activation and for each run.
I didnt check, maybe Google public DNS (in router settings) be enough

Thís is a breach of SSA that could potentially lead to your account being locked.
It's different to use VPN for personal reasons and it's different using it to intentionally fool Steam in order to gain access to a region-locked game.
Why your sister didn't bought it directly from steam?
It sounds more like your friend might be at fault and used an illegal key Do you know of sites like G_2_A.com? Not sure why steam would censor that name (I had to add the underscores) but what ever. Could have something to do with that.

I'm starting to feel like an a..hole of this thread but I think I'll just have to live with it. Anyway.

1. If OP used an illegally obtained key he would get his game revoked entirely along with a notification informing him of the situation. OPs problem is the region lock, which is a different issue. Purchased key for one region, then physically moved to another.

2. Valve censors the name of that - and several other - site because it is sometimes kind of a gray area. Some users on that site indeed do sell illegal/stolen keys - even though those sites' support teams are ready for this and will gladly replace you with a new key if that happens (I had that happen to me), Valve doesn't really like it to begin with. And no wonder, they're not gonna let people post sites with potentionally stolen goods on there. Not to mention the cut profits when someone decides to buy a game there dirt cheap or buy it directly on Steam for the full price.

Get in touch with their support, it usually takes a couple of minutes tops and you will go directly to live chat. They WILL replace you your revoked keys. They're gonna ask for some proof though.

First was Steam Sanctum 1 Complete got another ver with 2 DLC missing. I let that 1 slide. Second bought NFS Hot pursuit Origin Key got revoked between a month and I did contact site support but they said I have to contact EA about my prob. I said in my mind: F%ck that! and this f&cking site. Bought NFS game Region Free on another site instead no prob what so ever.
