Just because it didn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
If for some reason don't work try redownloading game.
It's actually not, it's not just me or my specs. Just because it's not a common thing to happen during casual playthroughs, doesn't mean it's just me. I don't have an amazing PC, but there are speedrunners that have absurdly good PCs and specs and it still happens to them. Everyone who speedruns this game has had it happen to them.
It is unacceptable to release a game with a consistent crash like this in it
???
Then why does it happen to every single person who has ever speedrun the game with varying setups?
???
You're an incompetent, unhelpful moron. Our community figured this out last night. The reason why no casuals here have run into the problem is it has to with some object limit BS.
We managed to get it to crash 10x in a row leaving as much crap in the level there as possible.
So during runs, obviously we don't collect all the fruit and lives, and we leave many enemies behind trying to go fast. So it's no wonder we are the only ones to run into the issue, and why it was overlooked by the devs. Hopefully they fix it, but it's just best to collect some extra wumpa and kill a few extra enemies than normal and the game won't crash.
Hopefully the devs see this thread and fix it and if not oh well at least we found a workaround.
This is on you mate, sorry. actually try "Verify Integrity of Game Cache". Sometimes redownloading doesnt actually work as some files are actaully left over, even after the uninstall. IF that doesnt work, uninstall and go in and manually remove te esave folder and other files that has been left, then redownload. By the sounds of it, its likely a corrupt save file thats causing the crash. This isnt a game bug unfortunately and before it CAN be confirmed as a bug, you need to at least attempt to fix it yourself first and then send a report to Activision with your attempted troubleshooting, and then tell them if its able to be replicated. The more descriptive you can be when sending in a report, the better the chance of them finding the issue. IF they are unable to replicate your issue, on similar hardware, it will be knocked back and taken as an individual problem that is on your end. Rather than having a huge ♥♥♥♥♥ about it here, howbaout actually DOING something to maybe fix your issue?
Hello, did you even read my post? It's happened to our speedrunning community, consistently. We've TRIED those methods already! We tried to reach out to the devs and Activision with no response!
Just shut up because you have zero idea what you're talking about. We figured out what causes it, a method to make it crash in the SAME spot every time, and a method to prevent it. Like I said in that post, there's a reason the people here (casuals) don't run into the issue (because they collect and destroy everything!) and why it likely got by testing.
Go through the level, while leaving as much ♥♥♥♥ in it as possible (wumpas, enemies, lives), go through the death route, and then go up the elevator after the checkpoint. If it doesn't crash, I'll be surprised. It's either object limit or something in the game where having a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ loaded is causing it to crash there. The game crashed for me NOWHERE ELSE in the entire trilogy. Don't tell me it's ONLY me when it happens to an entire COMMUNITY and we've already figured it out and tested it thoroughly. You are just as ignorant as the last person to reply to me. I will not be entertaining this discussion further.
calling me ignorant? I have done a speed run through that level several timesyou are speaking of and not ONCE did i have a crash.
For a start, i pointed something out that you never stated trying, so i was only trying to help.
Secondly, you are the one being ignorant, and not accepting the help people have given, so instead you go off abusing and being quite disrespectful towards everyone
Thirdly, Just because you and the community you did the speed run with came across this issue, does NOT mean its a bug, and more likely a limiting factor with hardware or software compatability causing an error (yes it does happen). I so happen to be studying the highest level of I.T, so i know what im talking about.
Lastly, Just accept the damn help you have recieved and move on with your life. You are making a fool of yourself, blaming others for trying to help, and then going off abusing them. Do you seriously think that is a fair argument? I dont think so
