game freezes when saving

PC specs: I-7 7700K @ 4.0 Ghz
GTX 1080 TI
16 GB DDR4 RAM 3000Mhz

When ever I save in crash bandicoot 1, my game freezes and the only way to exit is to ALT + F4. This only happens in crash 1.

I tried and it did not work.

A couple of things to look at.

Make sure your anti-virus isn't ganking you. By this I mean blocking write access to files. (Bitdefender can be a bit notorious for doing this)
Verify the game's cache. Try reinstalling it if possible.
Update your drivers.

Is it only Crash 1 or is it consistent with all of the games? It might be a bit unusual if it is only Crash 1 crashing.

I have windows defender but i dont think thats causing the issue because all my other games work fine.

I have verified the cache and it didn't work and unfortunately I cannot reinstall because I have a data cap.
I have also updated the drivers and that didn't work.
It is only with crash 1.

I’m not sure what you meant in that first part but yes I have updated windows drivers and bios

Same problem here. All the software is up to date. Hardware specs: I7-2600 3.40 GHz, 8 GB RAM, GeForce 1050 TI.

He asked if the game is installed on your C: Drive together with your OS. Not that I think that is the issue if it isn't however.

Might be a program or system specific options you enabled that is making the game freeze.

If you don't mind losing your saves, you could try to delete all of the saves from your save folder, located at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Game but unless we know all your system/driver enabled options and programs on your PC, it will be very hard to identify your problem.

Ok that all info I neen to know what wrong the whould save file damage and can't can't be recover. Your need to delete damage file or you game going keep freezing

None of us knows what is installed on your PC or how you configured it, so it's just a suggestion that you can see if works.
