the game would have so much more replay abillity if we wer able to compete against legitimate times.they need to unfourtunatly update it to record your run and upload it with the ability to watch the replay to determine weather or not the player cheated so then we can just ignore the cheater times.i hope some devs or somthing read this because like myself i would play this game for years to come if i had a chance at setting a record

People mentioned it before but you can see the world records for each trial as well as a few other attempts on Speedrun.com and also submit your own times if you wish.

Any time above world record is most likely cheated.

First off, glitches are a big part of speedruns, how do you prove they "cheated" the conventional way and didn't use some glitch, secondly, it's not like the game saves replay data of the stage so there's no way to tell who's legit and who isn't. going for leaderboards unfortunately becomes impossible after the first few days

The fact that the time is 00:00:05 is enough to prove he's cheating. Theres also the fact that its pretty consistant over every other map, and thats pretty odd for a glitch

yes as it says it usually says in the terms of service agreements that u are not aloud to alter or change the game files. this is were it gets wierd because so manny people use and make mods for games and have them available for lots of other people to dl.... steam workshop somehow is aloud to exist i dont kno why because getting thoes mods for your games would b a breach in the terms of service. for pretty much every game it usually says that your not aloud to alter the games contents what so ever. the guy is lucky he doesnt live in japan. a group of moders there got found making mods/cheats for games and fined 3 mill dollars and thrown in jail for 5 years . i wish other countries would start taking action against online cheaters atleast because these cheeters degrade and ruin aspects of a product/game that alot of uss paid money for.

Cheats on call of duty are not mods, but directly edit original game files in RAM. Mods are separated files not edit original files in RAM.

so using mods that actually overwrite and replace existing files to change certain aspects of a game isnt changing or modifying the games files?

Nope. You not replace existing files. This is not modding, but violate terms. Mods are separate files with choose with game creator approved.

Then why are speedrunners who play this game day in an day out getting nowhere near their times? How are people going through 4 minute levels in 1 second? The only glitches I know of for the original crash are the damage hyper jump, which is only used in 2 levels. in 2 and 3 you have hobsliding but thats been around since the ps1 games.
