Stormy ascent - doable?

Did anyone finish that level already? I'm having a very difficult time with the first bird jump - it just seems impossible to bounce high enough to get on the next platform. Am I doing something wrong or is this just an error that I should hope to see fixed?

Trying very hard to complete this level, there's definitely some change from the PS4 version here... It's tougher, almost.

So.... apparently spamming space helped. Makes me bounce higher, not sure why.

hold space for bounces.

it took me like 2 hours and about 80 lives lol, but i managed to do it

as above, holding space makes you jump higher. this is required for a lot of the trickier jumps in the game, and also gives you more airtime for bounces which is useful.

that aside, there's no trick to the level. it's just tough. whenever you're on a stable platform, take the time to watch the next mechanism and fully figure out the pattern before moving. the mechanisms are designed to let you pass, as tricky as some of them seem.

it is definitely doable, i have yet to play it on pc, but on ps4 i've finished it and even got a gold relic

yea, i have beaten the first crash game last night. its do-able and imo easier than on the ps4

This. It's way easier than PS4, I have about 10 lifes on average, but on PC I reached 99 lifes without an issue.

Higher frame rates and less input lag will do that.

Also I believe the patched some of the hitboxes to make it a little more forgiving.

I've completed it with the box gem, but not ready to put myself through the relic just yet!

I managed to get the gold relic, absolutely no idea how you're supposed to get the platinum relic though. The time required for it seems so ridiculous to me, I feel like I'm seriously missing something, lol.

I did it on PS4 before. But I think It's easier on the PC

The first checkpoint is just so far away in this level. They should have put it at the base of the first ascent, not at the top.
