Game freezes at random times

The game freezes at random moments. It could be 10 minutes in or an hour in. I'm not sure if this matters or not but when I open task manager it says the game is running just fine. Usually when a game freeezes it says the game is not responding in task manager but with Crash it says is still running. Again not sure if that matters or not. The game freezes at random times and not sure if anyone is experiencing this problem and if someone has a solution. Any info is greatly appreiciated

Happens to me as well, I find it's usually at the start of loading screens. Perhaps it's an autosave problem(?), I haven't tried turning it off to know for sure.

(Intel i7-7700HQ, 16GB RAM, GTX-1050Ti, 64-Bit Win10)

Same problem. Playing with part one of the trilogy. There is no other problem at all.

Same problem. I tried to lower the settings, but didn't solve anything, the game just keeps freezing at random moments, usually during levels. It's so frustrating and this way it's just unplayable. Hope someone will soon find a fix

Steam was again looking at system information. It just means something.

which ggame does it freeze for you? for me i was able to play the entirety of Crash 1 without any problems but with crash 2 it freezes constantly.

Crash 1. Havent tried the others due to my habit of fully 100% the first one before i move to the second one

i found out that setting my display to 60hz, instead of 144hz, seemed to prevent the freezing atleast for me.

60hz lead to stuttering for me. disabling v sync through nvidia control panel then running the game in full screen while the monitor is set to native 144hz fixed the problem entirely for me

same here with crash3 crash1 works flawless. yesterday ive played 4 Hours Crash3 without any Problems today it will crash after some time. i realized that google chrome was open in the background so ill try it without chrome or Browser opened in the Background.

Not sure if anyone still follows this thread but I'm posting this just in case. When I got the game, it would freeze at random times. I followed all the recommendation you guys posted the best of my abilities and in the end nothing worked. One day I switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10. After that, the game does not freeze any more. I'm not sure if you guys are also using Windows 7 or have been having this issues with Windows 10 but unbeknownst to me switching to Windows 10 fixed my problems. Hopefully you guys have found a way to solve this problems and have been enjoying the game.
