Framerate is Unlocked!!!!!!
Thank God.. a lot of you guys posting that the game is stuck at 55fps or 20fps had me worried. Looks like Iron Galaxy didn't screw up after all. The game runs perfectly fine with an unlocked framerate. I'm getting 165fps atm with a 165hz display. I didn't need to change any nvidia control panel or anything. It runs just fine right out of the box.

Here's the first stage running maxed out at 1440p with an "unlocked" framerate. It's hard to see, it's the steam overlay at the top right corner.

The options menu is misleading. Yes, it says "55hz" or whatever number is divisible by your monitors native refresh rate. But use an FPS meter and you'll see the game in both menus and gameplay runs unlocked just fine.

*Sigh of relief*

Add this to your wins column Iron Galaxy.

This is weird, I had a 30 and 60 option, then when going to borderless it became 36 to 48.
I'm still locked at 60 though when going back to fullscreen.

Getting 240 Fps here feels amazing.

the numbers for the fps lock we get are functions of our max dispaly Hz . ie 48= 144 55=165

Are you looking at the settings menu? Or did you actually measure your framerate? Because my menu says "55hz" but the game itself runs at 160+fps
I have a 1440p 144hz monitor. Steam overlay says 48 fps
Joshhhuaaa Jun 29, 2018 @ 12:10pm
Okay, so basically 48 fps is 144hz now?
144 / 3 = 48, just a bug?

Can confirm playing at 144fps when switching to FULL SCREEN instead of windowed full screen.

That's strange. Can't get 144hz working.
If I take Borderless Window - it's always at 48FPS with or without Vsync.
If I take Fullscreen - it's always at 60FPS with or without Vsync.
That's what Steam Overlay says. Let's try Fraps or MSI Afterburner...

so can anyone fr fr run this above 60fps with proof? ive been messing with this ♥♥♥♥ for a while and nothing smh
Binnes Jun 29, 2018 @ 12:37pm
The steam overlay is showing 48 fps cap for me. Even with vsync turned off.

I can confirm 144hz works (or 165/240 whatever you set your windows monitor max hz rate to). Ive confirmed that my monitor (pg27uq) displays the correct fps with its counter.. So as long as you have vsync off in game the frame rate lock will not be enabled. Thats why I said in my previous post that when i had it locked to 48hz it looked really smooth for 48 hz

but with no settings changed? i disabled the vsync for crash via nvidia control panel and the framerate jumped 250+ but never went back to 144 which is my native refresh rate, idk maybe i did something wrong lol

I did absolutely nothing to the Nvidia control panel. I was about to, but I realized it was working fine by itself.
Ajt (real for real) Jun 29, 2018 @ 12:50pm
what about disabling gsync in the nvidia control panel? Does that solve the capped framerate?
☢FarCry☢ Jun 29, 2018 @ 12:50pm
YES! Got it! Glorious 144hz.

So, there is something ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the game engine, but I've got a workaround.
- Start the game and set it to "Borderless window" and VSYNC ON
- Close the settings menu
- Change your refresh rate from Nvidia panel to 60hz.
- The game will now run with 20 or 48 fos. Go to the settings and it will jump to 60 fps.
- Close settings and change your refresh rate to 144hz
- Now the game runs with 144hz

BUT DON'T OPEN THE SETTINGS AGAIN, OR YOUR FPS WILL FALL TO 48 AGAIN!
