I wonder what engine do they use?
Sony homebrew or ue4, because at times is sure looks like ue4 lighting. As with ue3, all ue4 games have the same "feel", since not all devs rewrite the renderer enough during production.

It's their own engine, vicarious visions alchemy

Sony did not develop this game, it was made by a developer called Vicarious Visions and published by Activision.

According to the researches I did on the subject, Unity was used

as far as i'm aware of, for the PC version they use UnrealEngine4, because i already dug through the game files and the resource archives are .pak files; synonymous with UnrealEngine games.

.pak files are not in any way an indicator that a game uses unreal engine. That extension is a pretty common one for packed files. Quake 1 used it. Some open source game engines use it.

why do people even make this type of thread, or then proceed commenting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?
As John correctly said: ".pak" is a very very old format that is in no way indicative of any engine.

Also the engine used in CrashInsane was well known at its release - it is VVs own inhouse-engine: "Alchemy"
