Anyone else enjoying CTR: NF?
Just wondering if anyone else is enjoying Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. Sense it's not on steam yet, I decided just to post this here. Got it on Switch last weekend and I been having a blast. Played the original in '99, and it's just awesome seeing everything updated.

Already got 101% on Adventure Mode and slowly working on beating all of N. Tropy's ghosts.

EDIT: Got all Platinum in Adventure, unlocked N. Tropy, and beaten all 31 Oxide Ghosts.

Also in the 2% of the Nitro leader boards for the grand prix.

Does this work in nitro fueled as well? I'm finding it hard to keep my sacred fire in hot air skyway cause I'm using coco for time trial and she goes off the edge every time.
It does.

Alright cool thanks for that. I'll have to try it then.
Whelp... at 30/31 Oxide ghosts and I have giving up. Whoever made the Oxide ghost for Dragon Mines is a complete jerk. You know you made a ghost too flipping hard when guides had only beaten it by milliseconds.

Ya definitely, its way too grindy as it is atm

Yeah... the grind is pretty slow, especially when there's limited time Grand Prix stuff around.

Been doing more of the Time Trial ghosts and sheesh... it's get annoying redoing the trials if you already have beaten the time the first go.

Like this morning. I decided to do the Cortex Castle time trial before heading to work. Got 2:30:46 on the first run, I unlocked Tropy's ghost. His is 2:40:59. Redid the trial and beat it. Decided to check Oxide's. 2:36:09. Ffs, just auto-clear it like how the relics are handled.

G'day mate

Yeah can't disagree with you there, personally would of liked the event to be a week long and less grindy, or two weeks long at a push.. But a whole 4 weeks of it is just tiring if you want to stand a chance of being in the top 5%, and for those that work or away a lot it posses as a problem.

Yeah, Oxide in Dragon Mines is really hard, especially thanks to that damn 360 turn wooden part that i can never go through faster than either him or N. Trophy.
I will probably put that track away until i'm done with the rest of Oxide's time trials as i have finished only a couple of them for now.

I finally managed to beat Oxide on Dragon Mines. What I did for the turn was turbo boost into it, let go of the gas, bounce-braking till your facing the right way while going up, and floor it. Keeping the Super Turbo Boost from the turbo pad is wonky as hell though. I barely made it when the STB failed to work on the 2nd and 3rd lap.

I was also using Tiny in the classic kart (compared to the rest which was Penta/Ami in the rocket car). I don't know if it actually works like that, but it looks like that setup might have a smaller collision box, so less likely to scrape yourself along the turn.

That's interesting, i will have to test it in game if the car is indeed smaller.
Asking if enjoying CTRNF on a PC forum, thats pure evil
No, I'm not, since it's not on PC yet. I will enjoy it plenty once it ported, though.
Spent some time away from the game and returned recently to finally finish all Oxide time trials. Spent half an hour on Crash Cove yesterday and i'm only missing Dragon Mines (oh god), Hyper Spaceway and Clockwork Wumpa now.
I was wondering about a few things in this game, if you don't mind me asking.
1. Is there anything missable or is only available for a limited time?
2. Is there a way to get the retro skins?
3. How hard is completing the game compared to getting three stars on 200cc in Mario Kart 8?
1. The content in grand prix seasons.
2. As far as i know - no
3. Depends on the difficulty you chose. On Easy you don't need to know anything about this game and you will still win majority of races on first try but on Hard you need to know the mechanics well.

Well, that's disapointing. Thanks for the help!

Actually.

1. The Grand Prix stuff you miss will actually appear in rotation later on. No idea about the Champion Kart and it's decals, as you have to actually earn those. Electron skins are a download code, and certain skins are in the Oxide Edition.

2. That's PS4 only.

3. The only truly difficult things would be the platinum relics and Oxide times.
