Is it me, or this remake is really sluggish
I've completed and maxed out all three parts on PS1 PAL version and this remake is almost unplayable for me. Game seems to be slower than original, especially in Coco China tiger levels. I cant feel any dynamics in the movement, and steering is sluggish at the best. In original it was much more sensitive. Here we have no option to correct this at all :/

I just had this same problem. I have a laptop with Integrated graphics, and a dedicated video card. The game defaulted to Integrated instead of the video card.

I have an NVIDIA 860M card. I opened the NVIDIA control panel, and changed the association to the video card. Runs generally very good nw.

It is not the problem, I have desktop PC and over 120 FPS... :/

hello,

the feeling of the game, jumping and attacks are quite different. also, in my case, game suffers from depth perception in case of vertical levels (especially the ruins in Crash 1/2

If you are well adapted to the originals then the remake feels "wrong". Not a bad game though.

Shame, controls in arcade platformer remakes shouldn't be changed. At least there should be an option to switch control schemas. I'll try again, but this is not what I've expected...

I bought it for exactly the same reason, the nostalgia of PS1 games, Crash was one of my favorites, and you are right, this game feels weird in comparison to the original (even after all these years i haven't played them)... but one can get used to it and enjoy it... nothing you can do about it :) By the way, i have spyro reignited aswell, that one feels much better (it has some weird moments too but that one is much much better and i love it)
Cheers :)

agree. remake of Spyro more closer to original than Crash. the only my grunge against it is reduced FOV

It is a remake, so it is understandable that it will feel different. Adding an option to toggle the entire physics is asking a bit much.

You've got it mixed up. The remakes aren't slowed down, the original PAL crash was sped up. PAL framerate is slower than NTSC, so they upped the movement speed in an attempt to keep the gameplay the same, but they wound up overcompensating and the PAL version plays faster than NTSC as a result.

Came in the forums exactly for the same reason. Reading the responses, I see there's not much that can be done, which is too bad. The game is still as fun as when I played it soooo long ago, but jumping just feels... strange. It's like I'm constantly in jelly or something. And when you jump on those metal boxes that make you go high, I can't count the time I missed a plateform or else because Coco wasn't moving in the air.

There are differences in movement and controls, compared to the originals.
