giant egg?

Has anyone else had a hard time getting the giant egg? I'm assuming it's a chicken rare drop, and i've hatched so many chickens with the rare drop gene and they just keep giving me normal eggs. My other rare drop animals give me rare drops almost every single time and Nessa is the ONLY collection I haven't completed because I can't get a dang giant egg

Hey Unicorn,
If you've got the rare drop gene, you'll get the rare item 25% of the time. It sounds like you've just had a string of bad luck. Give it a few more days and I'm sure it will turn up. The other thing that helps is to double check the genomes of your chickens to make sure they do have the gene, and maybe make note of it with their name. Make sure to feed them regularly, and you can get a drop every 24 hours for a normal animal, every 16 for a fast animal, and every 48 for a slow animal.
