Wondering about Red fungus, and Cave Mushrooms

So i've gotten like 40 hour's played finished everything their is to do.. and Nothing requires Either of them and the Bug's after the collection have no purpos either... so i am kinda confused...

Each of the mushroom types have a single quest associated with them. But mostly they are just something you can sell for a little extra money. The cave mushrooms specifically were added to give you a little extra incentive to visit the caves as you are looking for the rarer ore, so the mushrooms can add up to some decent money if you are checking for ore regularly :)

I am kind of considering removing the red fungus in the marsh after you do the quest, but I think it doesn't hurt to allow it to grow back.
