The characters are more fleshed out than I was expecting (I set my expectations low). The farming isn't the main aspect but rather building the colony. I haven't tried poly romance but the fact that there's a lot of options for it is cool. The cast is diverse and doesn't make the characters their disability (Rosie and Anthony). Getting the upgrades is a lot of fun and the map aspect could be better but it's nice seeing where your plots and where the characters are.

I have a feeling this won't be a replayable game once "completed" but I'm enjoying the experience so far. Just don't go in expecting something like Harvest Moon/Rune Factory/Stardew Valley/Story of Seasons.

I like Verdant Skies a lot. It's a well done game, but the social aspect far outlives the gameplay which can easily result in a "finished" file long before you get to know anyone.

The art is beautiful, the gameplay is simplistic in a way that I think feels good, and the fishing minigame was refreshing to engage in.

But as much as I did enjoy my time with the game I can't recommend it to others, as it's simply... a mismatched experience.

A good game. A little rough around the edges. The pacing needs work, for sure. But I'd gladly buy another game from this developer if I get a chance to.
