There's not many cheaters below 20k ELO. VAC works, not worse than it was in CS:GO.

• Let's be real here, right now the community is in a state of a cheater witch hunt. Every lucky play, every lucky guess, every good game sense moment, the correct crosshair placement, timing peeks, timing smoke spams etc. are now just written off as cheating. And it's been like that ever since CS2 release. If you're below 20k, there's so much room for you to improve, so much more to learn, practice and understand the game better. To the point where you stop feeling helpless and blaming everything on cheaters, to the point where you understand what cheaters look like, what play looks normal, and what play looks suspicious, instead of instantly concluding you've been outplayed by a "cheater" and learning absolutely nothing from the situation.
  

For those of you above 20k, who actually experience lots of cheaters.

• Do you recall how many times you yourself have been called a cheater on your way up the ladder? People with not enough experience called you a cheater countless times just because you were better, or had a lucky game. It happens all the time, and the sentiment like that is exactly why there are so many cheaters in 20k> lobbies.
  
• You see, this exact hysterical sentiment is exactly why people whose actual rank is 1k-15k start thinking there's no legit way to win their games, and it is exactly why they themselves download software and contribute to the problem even more. And this is how and why they end up in your 20k+ games.
  
• By constantly complaining about this, you're actively fueling this sentiment, which, in effect, only makes the problem worse for yourself. I understand why you do it, but all it does is make it worse.
  

Like come on, do you really think it's not in Valve's best interest to keep their #1 game, by a large margin, alive and fun? Do you really think they've abandoned you? CS is a money printing machine, who in their right mind would not put A LOT of effort and money into VAC development? It just wouldn't make sense logically. Clearly the money is not the problem for Valve, and for absolute sure they're doing their best to build the best anti-cheat possible, without forcing some sus Kernel-level stuff, like some unnamed CS clone owned by a Chinese company does (I'm very thankful for that).

We gotta stop complaining so much, to fix it and make it better for everyone. It has to stop right here. Inexperienced players gotta learn something from the games they lost and improve. There's no improvement if you think you did nothing wrong and just got beaten by a cheater, no mental space to learn from the mistakes. The cycle of "I lost -> I think enemies are cheating -> I start cheating myself to win" has to be broken somehow, this mindset is not good for the community as a whole and to YOU in particular. We can do better than this. 🙏

I’ve been playing CS since the 1.6 days, through Source, GO, and now CS2—and man, what a journey it's been. There’s something special about this game that no other title has ever matched for me. It’s not just the headshots or the clutches. It’s the moments. The yelling on voice chat after a wild eco round win. The 1v5 you almost pulled off that your teammates still bring up. The time your squad stayed up all night trying to grind out rank wins, fueled by bad energy drinks and worse callouts.

CS2 brought a lot of changes—some controversial, some amazing—but one thing hasn’t changed: the heart of the game is still here. That constant push to get better. That rush when you win a tight match in overtime. That sense of brotherhood (and occasional betrayal 😅) you feel with your team.

What really makes CS2 special, though, is us. The community. The ones who grew up playing Dust2 more times than we can count. The ones who’ve put in thousands of hours tweaking configs and perfecting spray control. The new players learning their first smokes. The old dogs still landing crisp one-taps. We’re all part of something bigger than just a game—we’re part of the Counter-Strike story, and CS2 is the next chapter.

So here’s to all of us who keep queuing, who keep trying, who keep playing. No matter what happens with updates or metas or matchmaking, this community makes the game what it is.

Put some operation. There are many people, the newbies and younger ones, who lets say, the first time join to CS(2) community and never had experience with CS Operation/s. Almost to senior players forget how its look like to play missions and tasks from operation/s. So we all vote to add OPERATION.
