And I love it mostly because of people who cant stand being shot like a piece of... pigeon.
Just deal with the fact shotguns are viable too. On long range (A site on dust2 for example) they are mostly useless. Yes, you rarely headshot somebody on a longer distance, but thats a rare case.
I played so many years only with M4/AK47 (and I was successful with it), but I love the game now even more mainly because of the viability of other weapons (shotguns, MAC, NEGEV) - oh, how I love these.
Also, no. Keep a lot of diff. weapons viable, this is what I like more in this version of CS, SMG's and Shotguns are actually viable, and Deagle is no longer the best pistol.
Nice.
Why is that ? Because you get killed by people who use this gun too much ?
What about practicing a bit so you will get used to it man ?
You're welcome.
Many people level the same "if you can't aim with an M4/AK you use...." argument against the P90, but fact of the matter is, while shotguns and smgs are strong in their own ways, the AK and M4 beat them in many others. Versatility hands down trumps specialization. Being able to one-tap or short-burst your targets from pit, then push up and burst while you approach A from long, and then controlled spray some guy who rushes up from CT spawn to stop you, is a good thing. With a Mag-7, you're looking at dying within the first few seconds, or being trapped at long doors or pit by players with weapons capable of engaging targets further than 10 metres.
If all else fails, look to professional competitive CS play. Players make use of what they can when it's preferable to do so. If you've lost pistol round or even a buy-round and feel like taking a risk, you can buy a shotgun, hug corners, and hope to cut your losses. The same applies to smgs for similar weapon-based restrictions for engaging your opponents, being significantly reduced effectiveness at long and very long ranges.
And CS competitive play is still dominated by the same line-up of primary weapons. The AWP is still hands-down the only one of the scoped-rifles most competitive play sees use of, and the AK and M4 are still the core of a team's load-out on buy-rounds.
Whilst this has commonly been viewed as a fault in the game, it really isn't. Players go for these weapons because they have uses, and for the situation, these weapons are optimal. There's never been a buy-round in competitive play where a team says "Ok guys, let's all buy shotguns so it's an easy win for us this round" simply because this is not the case. Shotguns are not blatantly overpowered, they just feel that way if you choose to/ end up engaging a player thus equipped on their terms.
p250 and deagles are all equally good. Just depends on your style.
Back on topic: Mag7 is good, but it shouldn't be removed. As Artyom mentioned above, it adds diversity.
CT - P250, hands down
T - Tec9, hands down
Because if you're on an eco round, you just want to put as many shots out in the hopes that one of them gets flung into somebody's face.
