cursor stuck on screen

I can get up to the team selection menu, it auto assigns me, then the cursor is stuck on my screen and i cant goto the console, exit the menu, chat, ect. any help?

Try to pull your mouse out of your computer and then put it back in.

Don't use auto-assign, just join the team that's a player short and it will help avoid that problem.

Let me add a bit of info, since I have this too.
It's effectively a moderate glitch which interferes with the mouse setting (IE, if mouseset=1 and that was in a menu, then mouseset=0 is the crosshair and ingame-setting, then it's making mouseset=1 instead of 0, like it should be.)
This however, due to a lack of an actual upper-layer menu prevents the user from doing anything besides waving the mouse around like an suprisingly unmagical piece of technology.

Whenever this happens a small workaround I have found to work is to open up the console and set cl_mouseenable to 1. This will still leave the cursor, but allow you to play. Programatically speaking, the problem seems to be that there is some blank menu layer that is popping up above the game, that is intercepting all the mouse input and blocking you from opening up the real menu.

when this bug happens to me i can't bring up any menus or type anything into chat. i am stuck just able to move with wasd and the cursor moves around on screen. i have to shut down the game to fix it. happens a lot less with the new update but still happens

this happened to me. i was in a classic casual server so i had no issue leaving and restarted my game and all was well again. on another note, it seems before the vertigo patch i had a mouse glitch where it would appear to disconnect from my computer, but only in cs:go. did anybody else experience this? i haven't since the patch so it's not much of an issue anymore. gg gl hf :)
