CSGO on laptop
I am buying a laptop in a few days, it is going to be a HP ProBook 4530s. Specs: Core i5 2,5ghz, 4 gb DDR3 RAM, and a HD6490, the resolution is 1366x768. I don't buy it for gaming mainly, and I'm sure my 1.6 will run, source will run, but the GO I am not sure. Any experiences with this GPU and GO? Will it run at all, and if yes, what can I expect? I don't mind playing on the lowest graphics. For me, playable means there are setting on which I dont see the FPS dropping under 20-25.
Please don't give advice which laptop should I buy for gaming, because it's not a priority at all, but I still want to know. I am a curious type.

I'm probably way too late, so sorry for the necro, but you can probably get this game running.

If it doesn't heat up your laptop too much, run it on high performance mode (in your power settings). The game doesn't know how to switch processor states well, so it tends to choke when on power saving mode or anything similar.

It turned out, it runs on 35-40 fps with native res + minimum settings.

I play it rarely though... I don't have time and I play other games instead, if I do have some.

I play on a old laptop too, I put everthing on low and turn everything off. It runs fine but I know If I had a better computer I could do a lot better in MM.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
