Getting CS:GO to stay maximized while on another monitor?
Is there a way to get CS:GO to stay maximized while I'm on firefox with the second monitor? It always seems to bring CS:GO to the desktop, even if I'm in the second monitor...I don't get it

Yes, but I want to be able to browse firefox while I'm waiting for a map to load or something, and be able to immediately go back to the game when I need to, instead of having to wait 10 seconds or so for the game to come back up. That short amount of time can be the deciding factor of me getting kicked or losing the match.

You need to run your game in "fullscreen windowed" mode and then it won't minimize. Only a few games offer such a thing - SC2, WoW, ME2, Shadowgrounds 1 and 2 from what I know. Just run games in normal windowed mode and you're set. Something like 1770x1000 on a 1080p screen works great (I use that when I play a game windowed).

EDIT: You can use Eyefinity like that. You can have a fullscreen movie on one screen, a browser on the other and the focus on gaming on the third screen. I do gaming+movies sometimes on my dual-screen setup.

Do I hit extend? Wouldn't that be the same as right clicking on desktop and selecting extend from the options? how is this method different

Just put it to fullscreen how you have it and go to your properties of csgo and in launch options copy and paste the following into it and launch it back up.

-window -w 1920 -h 1080 -noborder

There is a program. Can't remember how it is called. It allows to use other monitor without minimizing games.

For me on my laptop my damn task bar keeps getting in the way and even when I put the settings to hide task bar it ends up popping up when I get close to it
