Armor - when is it worth re-buying if survived the previous round?
I am not going to touch upon the recent update, where you can't 1) buy helmet separately for $350 (if Kevlar is at 100%); and 2) $650 "repair" fee to restore full armor is no longer available (must spend the whole $1000 again). I would like to discuss another issue:

- If you survived the previous round with damaged armor (full or partial), at which point does it make sense to "re-buy" armor?

To answer this question, we must first answer a precursor question, which is: "do you receive more damage per hit (from the same weapon, same range, same spot) upon partially damaged body armor v. "unscratched" or "lightly scratched" armor? I've done some testing on the bots, and it appears that "damage to HEALTH per hit doesn't depend on the amount of armor left (as long as there is some minimal default value left). In other words, it means that you get no more protection from, say, Kevlar at 100% than from Kevlar at 70%, as long as you don't run it down to zero.

So, if you survive the previous round, where is that point at which you should "replenish" armor? Obviously, an arbitrary call, but I would say - 50%. If you have above 50%, don't spend the money, if below - you need to do it. What do ya'll think? Also, I have not done testing on helmet - is "scratched" in previous round helmet as effective as "brand new" helmet?

I'd say 60%-ish because there's a chance you could go under 50% whilst in the round, giving you less protection.

I'd say about 10-20. You have a pretty big chance of dying in a round, and armor won't save you when you get sprayed down or something like that. It can avoid you needing to eco more or not buying nades.

Your kevlar or helmet doesn't get damaged, your armor gets damaged. I you have bought a helmet it stays until you have 0% armor left (you should rebuy it before that happens).

I'd say 45-50,thats when im buying a new one..

and its better stay like that,we dont want the kevelar to become a second nature,or an item you can buy without a problem.

So, I see 60-ish, 20-is... Well, I think the main point here - once you bought armor (and survive the round)- don't ever rebuy it (save money), unless, mayne, it was a "Kevlar-only" buy... Keep in mind that 1/3 hits are to legs/arms, where armor doesn't help at all... To get to 60 armor, you must have received 5+ hits; to 20 armor - 10+ hits or something like that (I know it depends on a weapon, range, etc)... The point is - by the time you have "too little armor" - you will be long dead)
