How to record a demo on CS:GO
i recently discovered that in CS you can record a "demo" using the console and then watch it like "theater mode" on COD, can someone write or link a little guide to do this?

where do i type this command?

right click on CSGO in your library, click properties, then press set launch options,
then type in -console
the console should appear when the game is launched

If you do "Sv_cheats 1" and then "thirdperson" in console. You can now type "thirdperson_lockcamera 1" and your camera wil stand where it was. now you can play the demo

PoV demos can be recorded on any servers, and you can only get GOTV demos from comp matches.

RECORD IN ANY PERSPECTIVE - record demos like you get in comp. think you have to be the host.

- tv_enable "1"
-restart the server (not mp_restartgame). either `mp_changelevel "currentmapname"` or disconnect and rehost your game.
- tv_record "yourdemoname"
- tv_stoprecord

you'll find the demo in Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo

Not true, you can fly around in POV demo's and without hud etc. You need sv_cheats 1 and thirdperson and then thirdperson_lockcamera 0 for that. It's easier with a good demo manager.

jokes aside try doing that from keyboard/mouse > interface > console
