I have owned and serviced the Steyr "AUG" since 1979 it was developed in the 1960's, Australia now uses the EF-88 which is an up to date version of the "AUG" the update in cs:go made me sad... it's not realistic anymore, it shoots really fast in real life... about 900 rpm, now it fires half that... and holds only 20 rounds.. come on... this holds 31 with 1 in the chamber in real life and 42 with a Box Mag!!!! change it back, it was perfect the way it was. please post a comment here if you feel the same, that the aug and sg552 should have been left untouched and it was perfect the way it was. it didn't need Any tweaks.

The old AUG and SG552 were useless. No reason to buy them over the m4 or Ak. Now they have some potential purpose. This game is and never was meant to be a gun and or tactical simulator. Balance is key. This gives the guns usefulness.

they were always useful... the update pretty much downgraded the gun...

I agree with 25 rounds. Other then that I think the update will make them "viable" I'm hoping.

I found the old AUG and SG553 good, this new updates have ruined the guns. i mean come on slower fire rate and lower mag. size? thats insane. I hope they undo the update. The gun used to be decent in my opinion before the update but now its not worth buying or picking up. I would rather have any other gun with a high fire rate. If they wanted a sniper/assault rifle hybrid thats what the SCAR and GS is for.

I just have to disagree, I never seen either of these weapons in a match unless it was a total noob, or somebody was just playing around.

These updates have the potential to actually have these weapons become viable for regular play. SG556 headshot kills at all ranges like the AK now, has a mini zoom, at the expense of extra rounds and $300. AUG has very good accuracy when not zoomed (try a 4 round burst to their chest) and has very deadly dinks for only $200.

These guns were jokes before the patch, now they might actually have a chance of being used other than as a gag.

The weapons were good before, the only problem was the price
