Calculated the best weapon in CS:GO

and found out, the best weapon is NEGEV!

Used the weapon files in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\scripts to calculate this, I think they are accurate.

dmg = damage, r/s = rounds/second, calculated by taking the inverse of cycle time.

The list is best weapon to worst, in order. Some weapons like MP-9 and P90 are equally good.
The total damage is the mean damage per second the weapon provides in total.

the negev is all about quantity vs quality...run into apartments on inferno while spraying and put rage and hatred into your enemys.

Saw someone running around spamming the Negev tonight and he was about 50 yards away from me and I just unloaded a couple shots with the ak and it dropped him. Personally I think the Negev is far from the best weapon, great for close range but that's it.

If there was a single best weapon in CS, that's all you see everyone using.

Accuracy, reload time, damage, recoil, mag size etc... there are lots of parameters to think about. But not enough. Weapon selection also depends on the map, your personal accuracy and the number of members in teams. Personally, i am not an accurate shooter, so in a match 10 vs 10, i prefer m4a4 & five-seven in ct, but others may prefer m4a1s & ups-s. If the match is 5 vs 5, I may prefer m4a1s + ups-s.

I must say something, there is a weapon which does more damage than AWP, it doesn't have long range, and you can also jump shot with it. The Zeus. IK it's kinda like gear, but the Zeus is $200 ingame and its a 1 hit no matter where you hit, in leg, chest, head, wherever you hit, it's an instant kill, but the range is small. So the highest damage weapon is a zeus.
