I had same problem as you, this fixed it. Now Accept apprears every time.
Until that stupid issue get fixed in a patch, we must up those fix thread hoping they get sticky on that forum.
can you tell me in detail where to go. Unable to find.
This should fix it: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2990922
It's actually 250 pings/min you want to reduce it to. It's a problem with some routers.
1. In STEAM, goto 'Steam'-'Settings'-'In-Game'.... Once here, at the bottom, change the drop down to '500' under the "In-Game server browser: Max pings / minute. (Usually, it is set at 5000 as default)
2. Open up cs:go. Press "~" to drop down console on the main screen of Cs:go. (If you do not have console enabled you can go into counter-strike in-game settings menu and check the box for it.)
Anyways, Type in "mm_dedicated_search_maxping 175". close console.
3. While still at the main menu of CS:GO, goto 'Options' - 'Game Settings'. Make sure that
"Max Acceptable Matchmaking Ping" is set to 175.
4. Once this is all done, close the STEAM program completely. Then re-open it and try MM.
IF you still are getting the matchmaking error, dont worry. There is still two other quick things you can do:
1. In windows 7 - goto START-Control Panel-System and Security-Windows Firewall. From here on the left side, look for "Turn Windows Firewall on or off". Click the Turn off Windows Firewall option for both Home and public networks. You may already have windows allowing STEAM to pass through the firewall. But this is a good way to test if windows is blocking it anyways or ports arent opened on your router for gaming. Make sure to re-enable windows firewall if MM doesnt work again after this. I would restart your computer before attempting to do a MM once disabling just to be safe.
**If you have spyware/virus software running, consider completely shutting them down then trying MM to see if they might be bugging it. Just make sure to turn it back on after!
2. If disabling the firewall still isnt working, the last thing you can try is:
In windows 7 - START - type in 'regedit' in the search bar. If you don't have a search bar goto "start" - "run" then type regedit. It is important not to screw around in here once its opened.
Go here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER.... SOFTWARE.......VALVE....STEAM. Once you click on the steam folder you should be able to see values pop up on the right window. Look for a REG_SZ named "MaxServerBrowserPingsPerMin" value. Right click on it and goto Modify. Change the value to 175 and press OK.......IF you do NOT have 'MaxServerBrowserPingsPerMin' when you are in the STEAM folder as mentioned, dont worry just add it.... Right click in the right window and goto "New" then "String Value". Name it "MaxServerBrowserPingsPerMin" and press enter. Right click on the string you just created and goto 'Modify...'. Change the value to 175.
Restart your computer and try MM.
If all these don't fix your problem, you might want to try re-installing the game or contacting steam technical service for further assistance.
I freshly formatted my SSD last week and encountered the same error so i figured i would post what worked for me. I haven't had any issues. Each time i format my hard drive, i just do all these steps at one time, then restart my computer and try MM. Lemme know if you run into any issues. BTW i chose 175 for the values incase people are playing with friends in different areas, feel free to change it to 60-100 if you start getting bad pings in MM. I wouldn't recommend going below 175 until you see that MM is not bugging anymore, then you can keep dropping the value down lower and lower at each step untll you find the niche where it won't bug out. Good luck!
