How do I install a CFG

I recently downloaded a CFG and I don't know where to put the files. If anyone can help me that would be appreciated.

make sure the .cfg file is named autoexec.cfg, also it may be C: not D:, and last if you dont want to use the config as a autoexec, drop it in the folder, open the game, open the console and type, "exec configfile.cfg" without quotes and it will execute.

his steamaccount is actually 8 years old - i guess he was just a bit confused bout the fact, that the cfg-file isnt stored under X\Programs\Steam\SteamApps\STEAMACCOUNTNAME\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg like normal.

my cfg-file and autoexec are completely clean and "readonly". all my settings are done directly to the valve.rc. to go on with that its necessary that u "keep the last lines of ur valve.rc" - means u need to write ur binds etc. right in the middle of the rc-file.

why your writing it to valve.rc?
now your rc is messed up. it way more cofortable if you make your config. read only and in the last line exec yxz.cfg. now write your custem comand to the yxz.cfg and delete them out of config.cfg.
now you have a better overview about you costom comands and a slim config file

my rc is fine - using that way for a decade now, and it worked well in 1.6 and source. why should my rc now be messed up? actually its nuttin else than ur autoexec-method. u could write ur binds into a file "binds.cfg" and write into ur valve.rc "exec binds.cfg" and it would work too.

there are many ways to implement ur downloaded config.


btw my rc is kinda organized

and so on. why shouldnt it work fine?

sure it depends on taste if you feal fine with it its cool.

for me i have a better view and a easy option to turn scrips on or off

ive got 12 cfg's one for movment, buyscript, netsettings, demo, alias, hud ect.

why are you people screwing with cfg files for crosshairs? just go to the workshop and get crashz crosshair generator

its u Retarded, he wrote everything right, for 2013, steam changed folder, so u could use diferent configs for different users of same pc, idiot.
