Map advantages
Can I get a breakdown of which maps are T and ct sided? i basically only play dust 2, inferno, nuke, because those are the only maps that i find in matchmaking. I never really played any cs games before go, and ive recently gotten into it and just got my double AK. So to all you experienced guys out there, what are your opinions?

This thread is funny.... one saying Nuke is T sided, one saying Inferno is more CT sided than Nuke... hahahaha.
There are many advantages on Ageny for the T.Side.

I would say:
dust2: A is heavly CT sided, B is fairly even, so CT sided in total
Inferno: Distance to both sites are almost equal for boths sides, are pretty even
Nuke: is pretty T sided (the current VE version - due to the covered path outside to B). The old comp version without the outside B path was completely even.
Train: is pretty CT sided, the distance to both bomb sites are shorter for the CTs.
Aztec: is a little CT sided, the B site is even (both team reach B site in almost same time) and the A site is heavly CT sided.
dust1: have a EXTREME CT sided B site (they spawn right into the bomb site) while the A site is pretty heavly CT sided so I would say its Heavly CT sided.
Vertigo: is also a heavily CT sided map, since the CTs have the possibility to shortcut into T spawn and kill everyone, while both sites are nearer to CTs than T.

Hostage maps does not have any balancing since they are always heavly T sided - the terrorist spawn very near the hostages always.

Wait a second did you just say Nuke was T sided? *facepalm*

There's really no such thing as sided maps, however games played pretty much go like this; CT-Side has favor on Bomb Defusal, and T-Side has favor on Hostage Rescue. Note that some of the Bomb Defusal maps are in the Reserve Group, and aren't often played much by people who actually know what they're doing, so most data on those maps aren't viable to use. As far as I'm concerned, maybe Aztec is "T-Sided". Same goes for Hostage Rescue as a whole.

TBH distances to bombsites do matter (read the whole thing please), but it doesn't matter as much as smoking off certain chokepoints. Take inferno. If the whole CT team buys a smoke and an incendiary, and they switch up to resmoke, if they play it right and at the perfect timing the T's can be left with 10- seconds to enter a bombsite. And since there are many hiding spots on the bombsites themselves, a good CT team with coordination and a T team that doesn't push through smokes/incendiaries can easily win the half with a scoreline of 11-4. Knowing that, other maps can also be cut down into very short times left for the T's to enter into the bombsites.
Why the distances to Bombsites do matter is not only for rotation time if the T's do manage to break through is because if the CT team studies the map carefully, they will realize when T's will likely push (35 second mark for high ranks, maybe 45 or 50 for lower ones) Then they can smoke off the chokepoints.

Im tired now
