Best mouse to use?
I currently have used a MS Wireless Mouse 5000 and I really like it, but I am wondering if my game is suffering due to the wireless.

What do you guys think?

Also, since this mouse is heavy, I need another heavy mouse since I tried playing with a light mouse and really did not like it at all.

This is not a simple question to answer as it requires an individual like yourself to go out and try different mice from across and a broad. A mouse that is suited to I, may not be suited for you.

Since Logitech stopped the production of the MX518, i would suggest to look for the Logitech G400/G500. :)

Basically, I can adapt to different mice, but I want recommendations on mice that have some weight to them.

I was using a mx518 for about 8 years but needed 2 upgrade due too the buttons starting 2 go :(

I went for the Roccat Kone XTD,same sorta grip and feel as the 518 (more so than the g400/500 imo, even tho they are ment 2 be the replacements)

it is pretty pricey but as my 518 lasted so long,im hoping this will do so aswell, also, has 4 slots for adding weights ( each @ 5grams )

Never use wireless mouse if u play serious. Plus buy a nice big mouse pad if u don't have one.

if you use a claw or claw/palm grip hybrid the g9x it awesome, you can also add weight to it, up too 24grams
i really had many mouses in my life. i would definitely NOT RECOMMEND a laser mouse. dont care about high dpi and these issues. the best is imao to buy a mouse with a proper optical sensor. if u have the money buy the zowie fk. get away from products made by roccat and razer. u pay 20 bucks per mouse for marketing issues only. zowie isnt cheap too, but its worth the price.

btw:

i have the zowie am on 500hz by 1150dpi on ingame sensivity 3. with 1024x768 resolution i need to move the mouse bout 3cm to right side to get the crosshair from right-to-left a complete time. 3000dpi would mean u need to move 1.5cm for the same.

u are not able to aim a proper way with those high dpi. in order to aim at one special pixel u would need to move to mouse with precision of 1/100mm. hard for a human... so stay away from towerhigh dpi. (8000dpi on roccat mices... nonsense, really)
