*Just to name one issue
As someone who was in the Special Forces in the military and gone through Ranger school, among many, many other schools...I care. I'm not grasping at straws when I'm playing a SHOOTER that can't even get the only animations I see in the game correct. I'm not bashing the game. I love this game to death. I'm just bringing up a point that is inherently wrong with all FPS games and I find it to be utterly sad.
What is wrong is that there are three types of reloads. Empty chamber bolt forward, empty chamber bolt back, and "hot" chamber (a round is loaded). All of the guns are incorrect in the game, and generally speaking I can understand if there are only 2 animations for each gun in a game which would consist of empty chamber bolt back and a hot chamber.
Let's take the M4 for an example. Its reload animation reloads the weapon as if the bolt is back everytime. This would only happen if you ran your magazine dry. As such, you would replace the magazine and then slap the side of the M4 to bring the bolt forward. Unfortunately the game does this even when you do a tactical reload (reloading in the middle of a clip). The animation should only be swapping of the magazines as the bolt is already forward with a round chambered. *The animation that we see in the game should only happen when you are reloading from an empty magazine.* And when you swap to the M4 everytime your player c o c k s the bolt back, which is so annoying. However, I'm willing to concede that my player is only bringing the bolt back far enough to see if a round is chambered or not lol. Anyways, this is only 1 example of many.
I just wanted to bring up a conversation that I feel all people playing FPS should be having so that developers one day get it right.
Like CSS, CSGO is just a graphically updated port of CS1.6. Other than some minor balance perfections and the addition of firebombs, Valve tries to keep the game true to it's predecessors.
If you really care that much about reloading, go play battlefield or something.
