Headshot Aiming help!

I'm a newbie at Counter-Strike. I've practiced for a week or so, but everytime I shoot at someone, I usually aim lower, like at the stomach or chest. I know that headshots do much more damage, but I am having alot of difficulty doing so. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! (Might it be a problem with my mouse sensitivity?)

hmm - all in all its all about practice. to do headshots its necessary to stand while u shoot. i really can suggest playing on a deathmatchserver.

try to do only headshots there with ak47 using "tripleclick-firing-method". dont spray ur gun and make sure u are aiming on his head before u shoot. dont care about ur stats - just try the do the ak47-headshot. it will take much time and others will kill u faster or spray u down. but dont care about and focus on headshots. this is actually the only way to get the so called "headaim"

dont push through, try to do accurate shots and the rest will come by the time ;)

max. mousesensivity should be 3, depending on ur mouses dpi

I got another question, would you say I should use the rifles first or SMGs?
Is there any specific weapons that are easier or better than others?

depends on the round:

if u won the pistol round (in a match) u should buy mp/smg after that. u get more money for a kill and ur enemies lost the last round - so they dont have kevlar/helmet and u can easily kill em.(they lost, less moneyincome - they usually decide on "eco" which means economyround)

not all guns can kill with 1 shot on the head: the ak is able to kill oneshot also if the enemy has helmet.

add "-console" to the launchoptions of cs:go. (richtclick on csgo, properties and set-launch-options - all in the steamwindow/library

u will se a m4 does 89 in 1 or something else gainst helmets. so thats why most players stick to the ak47 - the first 3 shots are accurate as hell (tripleclickingmethod) and everyone is deadly if u hit the head.

deagle can oneshotkill also, but its not a good weapon at the moment. i suggest using glock/p250/p2000

Hello, my name is Jim, my CS tag is Big L.A. been playing this game since the 90's. Id like to try and help you out. If you're serious about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people up in this game my First peice of advice would be to start by finding the right sensitivity for you.. go into an empty server (Dust2) and try to learn the recoil patterns of ur favorite gun. Empty a clip on a wall from a medium distance to see the pattern. Starting with normal sensitivity with a dpi of 800 or 400, whatever u prefer..tweek ur sensitivity settings by increasing or decreasing it by .1 the goal is to be able to seemlessly keep your crosshair on a fixed spot as u strafe and move about. Imagine a steel rod connected from a point on the wall (ex. Your Enemies Head), to your crosshair.
Once you feel comfortable controling recoil and you become more familar with how the gun works, (which comes from practice/experiance) my next peice of advice would be to focus on the targets head not and what ur doing with your hand. u have to practice trusting yourself to make the shot. Just put all ur focus on the enemies head, forget everything else for that split second and trust yourself to make the shot. This game is all about experience..know your map and your recoil and you will go far.

theres a second "trick"

some people train their aim by running out of ammo. its ment this way:

if u have just 5 bullets left in ur mag (because u didnt reload ur gun) u have just these 5 bullets to kill him. so u are forced by urself to shoot the most accurate way. on public for practice-issues its a good idea in my opinion. reload when u stay in safe position.

its actually a noobish habit to reload ur gun after u shot bout 10 bullets or more. u will notice that u get killed very often when u reload ur gun after u fragged someone down, cuz possibly theres a second one waiting for the peek.

nother "noobish" habit is to spam the "q" key. read that some people unbinded their q button. if u are new to cs u can try it to do it this way. (get familiar with the numbers/slots and there is no real difference, but u can switch to every weapon precisely and fast.

last but not least:

bind "KEY" "use weapon_hegrenade" or anything like that can help u to get the advantage ;)

this is awesome! i spent lot time on this map and i fully suggest this for gettin familiar with weaponhandling/hand-eye-coordination.

i love the angle-training. after a while i did 62 hits in 60 seconds on aimangle training with every angles turned on. ur forced to aim over ur whole screen when u stay in position 1 with mentioned settings.

do it outta a standing position and dont use "wasd" while u shoot. (last should be ur duty all the time - its quite hard to untouch the "wasd" keys when u play a game, u will see)

A good way to get head shots is to analyze the spray pattern. The first 5 stationary shots of most guns are accurate and repeatable. Aim at the head for first shot then sweep your crosshairs down the body for the next four shots. If done correctly all 5 should hit the head.

Practice this on a wall at 50 meters until all shots are in the same spot.

The problem is when i click browse community servers, my mouse gets stuck and doesnt move, so i cant paste
