Clan tag not updating
So I changed the clan abbreviation for a steamgroup, and it's updated for everyone BUT me, so I have a different team tag than my clanmates... I tried verifying my cache, and reinstalling, but to no avail. Any ideas?

I have the same problem atm, did it work out for any of you?

It worked out after about 3 weeks, I think a CS:GO update made it finally work.

I removed everything in the steam folder, except Steamapps and steam.exe. When i started steam.exe after steam updated the tags where fine. I guess the problem is in userdata or something :csgohelmet:

Go to your steam folder, then go to userdata\3257611\config.
There you find a file called "localconfig.vdf".
Open the file with notepad or something and search for your old clan tag.
Change it and problem solved solved!

Thank you Mr.Vlooi for the solution!

Just to add, make sure steam is shut down, if steam is open while you try to edit the file, when you save it and relaunch the game, steam will automatically alter the file and undo what you did. I learned by experience...

Its take a while to "tags" to update, basicly you should see change in next 12 hours.

@Mr.Vlooi I went to userdata and it didn't show 3257611, but it had 2 other folders with "localconfig.vdf" and when I searched there I couldnt find the old clan tag in either of them

I have a solution! Instead of userdata/3257611, if you dont have it, just go to the first one on the list! Should find your old one
