Smurfing in CS2: Cheating or Not?

When pros make new accounts to dunk on newbiesi is it cheating? Not technically, but it’s not fair play. Imagine grinding as a Silver, only to get headshot by a “noob” who’s clearly a Global Elite. Smurfs skew matches, ruin ranks, and make lobbies feel like a lottery. It’s not aimbots or wallhacks, but it’s dishonest. Hiding your skill to flex on weaker players isn’t exactly sportsmanlike. Smurfing in ranked feels like bringing a tank to a knife fight. It kills new players vibe, pushing them away from CS2. So, cheating? Maybe not by the book, but it’s a cheap move.

smurfing is bannable (game ban) however that happens very rarely that someone gets banned for this. However YES, it is kinda cheating, because u manipulate the game course with your skills. it is in the guidelines of CS not to smurf.

Most "smurfs" are nubs with cheats.

What if its pre approved valve smurfing, like valve mixing silvers with legendary eagles or what not.

Only in counter strike does the game convince you that you are the lowest skill level, while matching you with people at the top level.
