How do I find the .tga amd .vtf files for the weapon finishes?

With GCFScape open pak01_dir.vpk in the csgo folder navigate to the paints folder 'materials\models\weapons\customization\paints' this will be the location of all the weapon finishes.

Are these the same directions if I created my skin through the workbench in console?

Ok, ive done all the steps,... Now im confused... Why the workbench generates only .txt files? how do I implement the txt to the VTF file I created?

vtf are inside CSGO folder
if you use a vtf as source image you'll need to convert it using VTFedit (stupid requirement, i know, valve should be able to use their own files without you needing 3rd party software)
