Network issues for Cs2
I need help connecting to the official valve servers for counter strike 2 I get an error "Failed to reach any official servers. All attempts to ping any relay in the worldwide network via UDP have failed. This could be caused by firewall or MTU". I've tried to reset my routers to factory settings but it only temporarily fixed this issue it always comes back, and I found that this error prevalent on all my PCs in my home network. My ISP has provided me a static IP as well, but this error still remains what could be the issue? The ISP is still investigating this, but I wanted to see if the CS community has experienced this. Also this is what the console outputs as well when I try to queue

Anyone have this issue or a solution?
No, but probably your default router firewall settings. Connect to it through your web browser and check the settings. Probably just type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. Depending on isp you may have to download an app
Also could be your computers firewall but less likely.
but lowk does it really matter? at the end of the day you are worried about 0's and 1's. this is how far humanity has fallen

Yea what’s wrong with binary? How else do you subnet the ip?

I use ASUS routers and everything is at it's default settings, Cs2 used to work but a major internet outage in the end of 2025 caused it and the ISP can't find the issue. The thing is every time when I factory reset my ASUS router it temporarily fixes the issue but it comes back. My asus router is connected to their fiber modem.
Well at least agree that binary is simpler than hex, at least I can do binary, hex I need a translator :steamsad:
Try connecting to the router and make sure universal plug and play (upnp) is turned on and if that doesn’t work try to temporarily lower or turn off the router firewall. If that’s not it it’s probably on the isp and they have the steam ports blocked.

When I connect directly to their fiber modem I can access valve's servers, but having my asus router connected in front of the fiber modem with my PC connected to the asus router sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I also tried to port forward and used Cs2 famous server list and the game still did not work. I think the same as well where the ISP may have blocked something, but they can't find the issue yet since I can play on their fiber modem.
Yea it’s got to be the router settings then
Hi,

I also have de same problem on my 4G router (Alcatel/flybox orange), really don't no why, it must be a seetings of the router, in fact, but dot know which one. I've activate the upnp on the router. (For information, I can join a game with my ADSL router, and then, when i'm connected to the lobby, I can switch to the 4G router and play whitout being disconnected, so the problem is clearly when the game is searching a server).

Sounds like you are having a similar issue, I managed to resolve it by using a VPN from mullvad and I am able to find games now. My ISP must have messed up the routing and still trying to resolve it

I have similar problem, since I change my ISP I cant play games which based on Valve's server like dota 2 and cs 2 but I can play any other game just fine.
Did your ISP already fix it? I might try the mullvad VPN like you, it really frustrating.
